According to an article from Mashable that discusses the findings of a recent Nielsen survey, 31% of U.S. children between the ages of 6 and 12 want an iPad. This is the most desired electronic device within this age group, followed by a computer and the iPod Touch.

The last item on the list was an E-Reader, which is only sought by 11% of those surveyed.

When it comes to people over the age of 13, an iPad is the fourth most desired product at 18%. A computer, television set and smartphone all rank above it.
